Realme has officially launched its new flagship lineup — the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro — in China, introducing major upgrades in performance, camera quality, and battery technology. The company aims to strengthen its premium segment presence with a focus on customizable design, advanced hardware, and its first major collaboration with Japanese camera manufacturer Ricoh.
The GT 8 Pro serves as the top-tier model, featuring a sleek flat-edged design and a modular rear camera housing that users can swap between circular, square, or transparent covers. It comes with IP69 certification, ensuring strong resistance to dust and high-pressure water jets. The phone is available in matte white, green, and dark blue finishes — the latter two using a paper-like textured material.
The Realme GT 8 Pro has a premium finish and allows the camera module to be replaced.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the GT 8 Pro offers 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Its 6.79-inch AMOLED display delivers Quad HD+ resolution (3136 × 1440), a 144 Hz variable refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, HDR support, and peak brightness of 7,000 nits. Audio is handled by stereo speakers.
Camera performance is a major highlight. The setup includes a 32 MP front camera and a triple rear array with a 50 MP main sensor (f/1.8, OIS, PDAF), a 50 MP ultrawide lens (116°), and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical and up to 120x digital zoom. Developed in partnership with Ricoh, the system includes anti-reflective lens coatings, a dedicated GR-style camera mode, and color filters inspired by Ricoh’s iconic film tones.
The GT 8 Pro houses a 7,000 mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, capable of reaching 100% in 43 minutes. Realme claims a five-year battery lifespan. Additional features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, the Realme R1 coprocessor for gaming, and Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0.

Realme GT8
The GT 8 model retains much of the Pro’s design but uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, UFS 4.0 storage, and simpler cameras — including an 8 MP ultrawide, 50 MP telephoto (3.5x), and 16 MP front camera. It also lacks wireless charging and the interchangeable camera module, though it keeps the 7,000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
