RedMagic has officially introduced the RedMagic 11 Air, a new gaming smartphone designed to combine high performance with an ultra-thin body. Following multiple teasers, the successor of the Redmagic 10 Air was launched on Tuesday (20) and brings notable upgrades over its predecessor, including a more powerful chipset, a faster display, and a larger battery.

Despite its slim profile, one of the phone’s main highlights is the inclusion of RedMagic’s signature active cooling system with a built-in fan, a feature typically found in thicker gaming-focused models.

In terms of design, the RedMagic 11 Air keeps the brand’s aggressive gamer aesthetic, with sharp edges and a futuristic look. Black and white color options feature transparent accents, while the display is surrounded by extremely thin bezels. The phone measures 7.85 mm thick, making it slimmer than the RedMagic 11 Pro, which has a thicker 8.9 mm body.

Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, an upgrade compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the previous Air model. The chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, offering enough power for demanding apps and high-end games. Additional performance support comes from the RedCore R4 coprocessor, designed to optimize gaming tasks, and an advanced cooling solution that combines a vapor chamber with a fan for the first time in the Air series.

The display is a 6.85-inch OLED panel with 1.5K-class resolution (2688 x 1216) and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also includes 960Hz touch sampling for faster input response and stereo audio.

Camera hardware is functional rather than flagship-focused, with a 16MP under-display selfie camera and two rear sensors: a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide.

Battery capacity increases significantly to 7,000mAh, up from 6,000mAh, and supports 120W fast charging, aimed at extended gaming sessions with shorter charging breaks. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and an infrared blaster, along with an in-display fingerprint sensor and customizable capacitive gaming triggers. The phone runs Android 16 with RedMagic OS 11.

In China, the RedMagic 11 Air starts at 3,699 yuan (~$530) for 12GB/256GB and 4,399 yuan (~$631) for 16GB/512GB. Global availability has not been confirmed yet.
