As presented at the 2026 European Society of Cardiology Congress, use of direct oral anticoagulants together with potent P2Y12 inhibitors in patients with atrial fibrillation and acute coronary syndrome was associated with higher bleeding rates without evidence of reduced ischemic events, as compared to direct oral anticoagulants together with clopidogrel and aspirin.
