In the phase 2 portion of the randomized phase 2/3 ASPEN-06 trial in patients with HER2-positive advanced gastric cancer, which progressed on anti-HER2 treatment, addition of the next-generation CD47 inhibitor evorpacept to trastuzumab, ramucirumab and paclitaxel (TRP) led to a higher objective response rate compared to TRP alone, and response was associated with CD47 and HER2 expression.
