The OUTSTAND-1 trial showed that once-daily oral small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist safiglipron reduced HbA1c by up to 1.45% versus placebo over 32 weeks in people with type 2 diabetes without glucose-lowering medication while body weight effects were modest.
