In the randomized phase 2b VIRAGE trial, patients with treatment-naive metastatic pancreatic cancer received the hyaluronidase-expressing oncolytic adenovirus zabilugene almadenorepvec (VCN-01) intravenously with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel (GnP) or GnP alone, showing that VCN-01 plus GnP led to prolonged overall survival.
