The ASUS ExpertBook A7 brings a CNC-milled aluminum body, a 3K OLED display, and a glass haptic touchpad to a new business laptop starting at $1,299.99. It introduces ASUS’s ExpertBook A-series, joining the company’s B and P series and ExpertBook Ultra.
ASUS announced US availability beginning October 14 through the ASUS Store. Aimed at professionals, freelancers, and small teams, the A7 brings its key design features to the entry configuration: buyers don’t need to choose the most expensive model to get the OLED screen or haptic touchpad.
The chassis uses 6000-series aluminum, precision-milled for a rigid body with a clean, minimalist appearance. The 14-inch OLED display combines a sharp 2880 × 1800 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, making documents, images, and scrolling clearer and smoother. The glass haptic touchpad adds another feature buyers interact with throughout the workday.
Hardware and Memory Limits
According to ASUS’s US launch announcement, the six announced configurations share the same memory and storage capacities.
| Component | US Intel launch specifications |
| Processor options | Intel Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 |
| Memory | 16GB onboard LPDDR5X; not upgradable |
| Storage | 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD |
| Display | 14-inch, non-touch OLED; 2880 × 1800; 120Hz |
| Battery | 65Wh |
| Weight | 2.82 lb / approximately 1.28 kg |
The fixed 16GB RAM ceiling is worth considering before buying. It may suit everyday office work, but buyers expecting heavier multitasking or growing memory requirements cannot add more RAM later.

ASUS claims up to 26 hours of battery life, based on its laboratory testing with local Full HD video playback. That is not a measurement of mixed office work, so independent testing will be needed to establish everyday endurance.
Ports and Connectivity
The Intel models include connections for external displays and common accessories. Both USB-C ports support charging and display output, although they use USB 3.2 Gen 2 rather than USB4.
| Port | Quantity | Capabilities |
| USB-C | 2 | USB 3.2 Gen 2, charging and display output |
| USB-A | 1 | USB 3.2 Gen 1 |
| HDMI | 1 | HDMI 2.1 TMDS |
| Audio jack | 1 | Combined headphones and microphone |

US Pricing
Higher prices bring a different processor or Windows edition while retaining the same display, memory, and storage.
| Processor | Windows 11 Home | Windows 11 Pro |
| Intel Core 5 320 | $1,299.99 | $1,499.99 |
| Intel Core 7 350 | $1,399.99 | $1,599.99 |
ASUS also includes its ExpertGuardian security features, fingerprint sign-in through the power button, and five years of BIOS and driver security updates. The company offers three years of manufacturer coverage and one year of accidental damage protection. MIL-STD-810H durability testing adds lab validation, though it doesn’t make the laptop damage-proof.
A Lower-Priced Model Is Coming
ASUS plans to expand the lineup in January 2027, with configurations starting at $899. The Verge reports that ASUS clarified the upcoming model will include 12GB of RAM, OLED, and a haptic touchpad.
ASUS has also announced AMD Ryzen AI versions with USB4, but that announcement does not establish immediate US availability.
